On Friday of last week PLL had the awesome opportunity to lead Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) to the Atlanta Union Mission to serve dinner to over 400 homeless men. A few months ago PLL was approached by CSS. They were looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the Atlanta area.

Project Live Love did an assessment of what CSS wanted to get out of their experience. CSS was passionate about the cause of homelessness and was interested in doing a project where they could interact with people. We then sought out a project that would be the best fit for what they wanted.

Atlanta Union Mission has been serving the homeless of Atlanta since 1939. At the Sheppard’s Inn shelter in the heart of downtown they provide beds and meals for over 400 men each night. We decided that a great project for CSS would be to sponsor and serve the meal for one night.

The project went great. Here is a short video of the CSS team serving.  Additionally, here is a great blog that was written by one of the volunteers.
