On your mark, GET SET, go! “GET SET”…the moment before the race begins.
Project Live Love’s GET SET jobs training program is designed to offer veterans with barriers to employment, numerous opportunities to “GET SET” for employment, growth, and advancement in Atlanta’s thriving hospitality industry.
How It Works
The program consists of these key components:
· Job Training AHLA
· Soft Skills Training
· Industry Contacts & Support
· Job Placement – IHG & Hilton
The classes are based on curriculum created by the American Hotel & Lodging Association. We teach Guest Service Gold and either Restaurant Server, Guest Room Attendant, Maintenance Worker, or Front Desk Representative. Each student receives upwards of two certifications from AHLA.
In addition to the technical training, we partner with industry professionals to offer participants a variety of soft skills. Strengths test, resume prep, time management, and goal setting are just a few topics that have been covered.
Finally, students participate in up to a week of job shadowing in partner hotels. Many gain employment by the end of their time job shadowing.
