A few weeks ago Project Live Love began teaming up with the outreach efforts of the Regional Commission on Homelessness. The commission is a collaborative group of organizations from across Atlanta that has come together to address the issue of homelessness. One of the main efforts of the commission has been what is called the “Street to Home” program.

Street to Home focuses on doing outreaches once a week to areas of where ten or more homeless individual are sleeping. Once the workers have had a chance to connect with those sleeping there, they are invited to go into a transitional housing program. Individuals that agree to accept the assistance get on the bus and are immediately taken to transitional housing.

Project Live Love was asked to help provide volunteers for the outreaches. We have had the opportunity to participate on two outreaches already and are looking forward to the next several to come. We look forward to sharing the stories of the lives that are touched through this effort.
