“The Coldest Winter In A Generation” one headline read. “Record-breaking cold Tuesday wreaked havoc across metro Atlanta” another read. No matter how you say it… it is cold in Atlanta and Project Live Love’s THREE-OH-WE-GO is in full swing. Here are the statistics so far… (Numbers as of 12-31-2013)
- Go Nights: 12
- Volunteers: 209
- People Seen: 1,046
- People Helped: 980
- People Critical: 104
Those are big numbers. In past years we have averaged seeing about 1,200 people for an entire season. At this rate we will easily double that.
None of this could be possible if it was not for the amazing donations and sponsorships that we continue to receive from companies and individuals. Two groups that we would especially like to thank are Gleaning For The World and Georgia Natural Gas.
For the second year in a row, Gleaning For The World has donated over $22,500 worth of blankets. That is a tractor trailer load of blankets each season. Thank you GFTW! (Pictured to the right is Kel Long of PLL, Andrew Young, Steve Bryant, and Roy St. John of GFTW)
Additionally, for the third year in a row, Georgia Natural Gas has sponsored this program. They provide a major monetary donation that allows us to purchase all of the additional supplies needed. Word can not express our gratitude to GNG for their continued support. Thank you GNG! (Pictured to the right is Jessica Knaak of GNG, Drew Benton of PLL, and Aimee Henderson of GNG)
